Celebrate Amelia Island's history at Shrimp Fest!

Come celebrate Amelia Island's rich history at the 53rd annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.

The annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival will take place Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1st in Downtown Fernandina Beach. The weekend celebrates Amelia Island's rich history with pirates, parades, art exhibits, vendors, and lots of shrimp!

Action News Jax is proud to be the media sponsor for the fifth year in a row. Make sure to stop by our booth on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 to meet members of our Action News Team. We will be located by the main stage on the waterfront.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, April 29 with the annual Pirate Parade. Applications will be accepted through April 22 to participate. Vendor booths open Friday afternoon and the Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant takes place Friday night at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Amelia Island.

Throughout the weekend, prizes will be given to the Best Decorated Shrimp Boat, Best Little Pirate, and Pirate in Training. There will also be an Ice Cream Eating Contest, a Beard Contest and the Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant.
