BRYCEVILLE, Fla. — Surveillance video shows two people rummaging through cars that aren’t theirs.

Josh Jackson says both belong to him, and so do the cameras that captured the thieves.

The Bryceville dad said, “I looked at my security footage and then you see the two gentlemen breaking into my vehicle and then trying to break into my wife’s car.”

He said neighbors have been sounding off ever since about similar break-ins near 301 and Ford Road.

Jackson posted his video to the Bryceville Community Matters Facebook page last week.

“Especially if someone left a gun in their vehicle, now, they have a gun or the guy coming out of the house has a gun. It just wouldn’t have been good for them,” he explained.

According to Jackson only a tool is missing from his cars.

Action New Jax’s Beth Rousseau spoke to a neighbor on Ford Road who said his wife’s wallet and his son’s gun were stolen out of their cars.

Jackson showed the surveillance to deputies.

He believes at least six families have fallen victim.

Rousseau requested the reports from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office last week and again on Thursday.

Jackson said, “Out here, especially in Florida, this isn’t the place to break into someone’s property because you can get shot and killed for it.”

Updated details will be posted here once Action News Jax has the incident reports.

The Nassa County Sheriff's Office sent the following statement:

The Ford Road car burglaries case is still under investigation in our CID Department and records are not releasable at this time.  As soon as they are releaseable, we will let you know.
