Three men were shot on the Eastside, ranging from 18 to 30 years old; one is in life-threatening condition and the other two are in serious condition, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Action News Jax's Brittney Donovan was on scene at East Third Street and Franklin Street, where the men were shot in front of a convenience store.
Police initially said someone died when they alerted the media.
A suspected vehicle involved in the shooting has been identified by JSO.
According to JSO, there was confusion behind stating there was a death, but at this point no one has died.
Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle itself is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS and be eligible for a reward up to $3,000.
