JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here are three areas the First Alert Weather Team are tracking over the Atlantic:

  • Tropical wave over the Eastern Atlantic does have the potential to develop – approaching the NE Caribbean by early next week where conditions continue to look marginal at best, so the system should struggle in the longer range.
  • Disturbance that was east of Jax Saturday is moving across the North Atlantic away from the U.S. – brief development possible, but no local impacts.
  • Another tropical wave has emerged off the West Coast of Africa and will continue to move east.
  • Next name: “Cristobal.”
