ORLANDO, Fla. — A truck driver was arrested in Glynn County, Ga. last month faced a judge Friday after police said he shot a man to death over a shipment dispute.
David Crump, 67, is being held without bond in the Orange County Jail.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in an affidavit that a shooting happened around noon on Aug. 26 near Boice Pond Road in Orlando.
Crump, a truck driver, was allegedly supposed to make a drop-off, but arrived hours late. When he arrived, the victim said he got into an argument with Crump.
The affidavit said one witness told detectives: “he observed two males arguing in the parking lot of the warehouse. One male was holding a firearm. The suspect first punched the victim. The victim then punched him back. At this time, the suspect shot the victim.”
Investigators said witnesses provided videos and photos of what happened. In one video, the affidavit said, “Crump can be heard saying ‘I’ll kill you’ as he placed his hands around the victim’s neck.”
