Two Jacksonville COVID-19 vaccination sites closing forever

JACKSONVILLE — At 5 p.m. Saturday, two COVID-19 vaccinations sites will stop administering second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

The satellite sites are Hammond Senior Center in Northwest Jacksonville and Normandy Community Center, across from Normandy Park.

The Centers were initially selected as FEMA vaccination sites because they’re located in underserved communities. They were reopened March 24 to provide second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Both locations are open 7 days a week.

Second doses will begin at the Carver and Oceanway satellite sites Sunday, April 4 and will remain open for ten days, until April 14.
