GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida Police Department issued a campus alert following a report of a sexual battery.
A woman told police she came back to her dorm at Graham Hall after an off-campus party early Saturday morning.

She woke up two hours later with indications she had been sexually battered, according to police.
The woman told police she did not want police to pursue a criminal investigation and witndrew her complaint.
Police, however, decided to issue what's known as a "timely warning" to encourage folks to continue to report incidents to police if they ever feel they are victims of a crime.

The campus has been on edge since late summer following a string of assaults. Police have not made any arrests in those cases.
