GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A University of Florida football player has been arrested in connection with an armed home invasion robbery, according to the Gainesville Police Department.
Police say the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. at the Canopy Apartments.
According to the police report, the victim of the robbery answered his door for UF Football player JC Jackson after the two arranged to hang out.
Investigators say Jackson entered the apartment with two other male suspects behind him.

Once inside, Jackson acted as though he had received a phone call and walked back outside through the front door of the apartment, according to the report.
After he exited, investigators say one of the unknown subjects pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the resident and two of his friends who were also at his apartment.
Police say the suspects made the victims get on the floor and then took money from their pockets.

The resident’s marijuana and Xbox were also taken and the suspects were seen leaving in a red “Nissan-type" car, according to police.
Jackson was positively identified and later turned himself into the Alachua Sheriff's Office Jail, according to police.
Investigators are working to identify the other two suspects.
