‘Unplanned’ maintenance at Jacksonville’s tallest building closes two roads downtown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Unplanned maintenance at the Bank of America building in downtown Jacksonville has closed two roads until further notice. The sheriff’s office announced Tuesday morning that Forsyth Street W, from Hogan Street N to Main Street N is closed in both directions.

Also closed in both locations is Laura Street N from Bay Street W to Adams Street W, JSO said.

Located at 50 N. Laura St., the 42-floor Bank of America Tower is Jacksonville’s tallest building.

JSO’s news release on the road closures did not state the nature of the maintenance occurring at the skyscraper.
