What to know: Veterans Day parade in downtown Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A parade to honor local veterans will begin at 11:01 a.m. on Veterans Day in downtown Jacksonville.

About 4,000 people are expected to line up for the annual event.

The parade starts at TIAA Bank Field, at the corner of A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard and Bay Street and will end at the Prime Osborn, III Convention Center.

This year, World War II veteran and former prisoner of war John Connelly will serve as Grand Marshal.

Watchers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to show support. The parade can be viewed from both sides of the street along the parade route.
