The vice president also spoke how this will benefit workers in the Jacksonville area.

He was the special guest speaker in a series being held by the nonprofit, America First Policies, at the Schultz Center.

Pence talked about the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which the Trump administration negotiated to revamp the North American Free Trade Agreement.

If the "New NAFTA" is in place, it's supposed to help:

  • Make jobs more secure
  • Create a more playing field for workers, farmers and ranchers
  • Strengthen food and agriculture trade here in the U.S.
  • Help better regulate digital trade
