JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The mother of a 4-month-old girl who died Wednesday after being left in a hot day care van at Ewing’s Love & Hope Preschool & Academy invited the community to the same facility Friday to remember the child.
They held a candlelit vigil in front of the van where Lancia Isaac's the baby daughter, Brooklyn, died.

“Nobody ever imagines to wake up and kiss your baby, this is going to be the last time,” said Borden. “So I can just imagine, like I said, what the family and the mother is going through right now.”
Pastor Kadeem Borden led the service.
Borden sang songs to comfort Isaac and led them in prayer.
People in attendance lit each other’s candles, before blowing them out in unison.
The vigil came to a close as Isaac stood in the embrace of those around her.
Isaac said she was grateful to those who came out, but tells Action News Jax Reporter Ryan Nelson she was not prepared to speak in an interview.
