We continue to be hot, humid and mainly dry

Temperatures well into the 90s to end the week.

Jacksonville, Fl — Heat and humidity continues to be the main weather story this week, with only isolated to widely scattered showers and a few thunderstorms.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says rain and storms will develop near I-95 by midday, then shift inland through the afternoon. The beaches will likely stay dry, and less than a quarter of the area sees rain the next few days.

Finally by Saturday we see greater coverage of rainfall, about 50% of the listening area. Rain and storms will also be around Sunday. But long hours of the weekend will be dry, hot and partly sunny.
