The St. Augustine Police Department ruled this case as arson.
Baker, who is the lead barber at The Kings Chair Barber Club, said throughout the last four months he has had to do almost everything to make ends meet.
“Most barbers are doing what they can to maintain their situation and to kind of keep things in balance until we got back in the shop,” Baker said.
Marble floors, brand-new chairs and cabinets are just some of the items that were renovated in this barbershop.
And Baker says it was all thanks to the community’s help.
A GoFundMe has already raised $9,000 to help with what the barbershop needs so far.
“You did this to hurt me,” Moses A. Floyd said.
Floyd, who is the owner of this barbershop says he is grateful for all of the help the community has given his barbershop, but he tells me he still wants answers about who tried to burn his barbershop, down.
“We still have a $5,000 reward with any information to the conviction of the person who did this,” Floyd said.
