Wet, stormy pattern continues

Isolated showers and thunderstorms develop by midday and through the afternoon.

Jacksonville, Fl — The wet and stormy pattern is not loosening up yet. Some neighborhoods have seen up to a half foot of rain in the past few days. The National Weather Service estimates some isolated areas have seen as much as seven inches.

Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh is tracking midday and afternoon isolated showers and storms.

“Then those move more inland with time as we head into the afternoon and early evening commute. So unlike yesterday I think those showers will be shifting a little bit father to the west for the evening commute. But some locally heavy downpours”, said Bedenbaugh.

The pattern stays wet through at least mid-week. A cool front on Thursday will usher in nicer weather for the end of the week.
