Winn-Dixie to donate 100 percent of Fourth of July profits to military members

A Jacksonvile Winn-Dixie is slated to close in June, a move that will elminate 62 positions. 

Winn-Dixie stores around the nation will donate 100 percent of sales on Fourth of July to a nonprofit that supports veterans, service members and their families.

Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie, BI-LO, and Harveys, said the money will go to the Hope for the Warriors Veteran Service Organization.

This is the third year the company has donated Fourth of July profits in support of military members and their families.

Hope for the Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to serving veterans, service members and military families.
