Governor Ron DeSantis will likely drop the appeal of a court decision that said a ban on smoking medical marijuana violated the amendment passed by voters.
Former Governor, now U.S. Senator Rick Scott was the one who appealed the court decision on smoking before he left office.
But DeSantis this week said he felt the state had been dragging its feet in implementing the law.
71 percent of voters statewide approved the constitutional amendment to allow medical marijuana in 2016.
“I think ingesting it different ways for different patients is a great idea,” said Will Echevarria, a local patient.
