Woman accused of kidnapping Kamiya Mobley at Jacksonville hospital enters plea in court

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The woman accused of kidnapping a baby from a Jacksonville hospital in 1998 appeared Thursday in court to be formally charged.

Gloria Williams is accused of taking newborn Kamiya Mobley from what was then University Hospital. Williams raised Mobley as Alexis Manigo.

Williams is charged with kidnapping and is being held without bond. She plead not guilty in court.

Police said a tip led them to South Carolina, where they found Mobley and arrested Williams.
