Man sought after woman killed, child injured at Orange Park home

Authorities are searching for a man after a woman was killed and another woman and child were injured at a Orange Park home.

Kenneth Leonard Poythress, Jr., 36, was last seen in a 2008 red four-door Honda Accord with Florida license plate 037LSE.

The child has minor injuries and the woman who survived has life-threatening injuries, the Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

Poythress was last seen wearing jeans, a dark-colored shirt, orange construction-type vest and a camouflage cap.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office is investigating the domestic-related homicide that happened Sunday afternoon in the 400 block of Heron Court in the Argyle area.

There have been reports that a man shot the three people and then ran into the woods.

Investigators were going in and out of the woods near the home where the incident happened.
