ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — River Restaurant Group is officially breaking ground Wednesday morning on Grafton & Fleck’s, an upscale steakhouse and rooftop lounge in Atlantic Beach.
The project replaces the former Ragtime Tavern property at 299 Atlantic Blvd., where the local landmark operated for more than four decades before closing in January 2025.
The new restaurant is named for River Restaurant Group founders Jeffrey Grafton McCusker and Robert Fleckenstein, reflecting the partnership behind the hospitality group.
River Restaurant Group also operates several other regional establishments, including River & Post in Jacksonville, as well as River & Fort and SAINT in St. Augustine.
Grafton & Fleck’s is expected to open to the public in early 2027.
