The dog, nicknamed "Bryce," has been at Nassau County Animal Services since March 23. He was found after the Bryceville Wildfire.
That’s how he got the name “Bryce”. Maguire says they’re not sure of his real name because he’s not microchipped -- and didn’t have a collar on.
Bryce's cute face has gained a lot of attention on social media. The post on the Action News Jax Facebook page had nearly 2,000 shares.
Unfortunately none of the people who came forward were Bryce's owners.
Friday will mark 15 days that he's been at the shelter on stray hold. Maguire says after that, they will be going through their folder full of applications and pick the best home for him.
On April 22, there will be an Adopt-a-palooza at Nassau County Animal Services located at 86078 License Road. in Fernandina Beach.
