JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was hit by a silver Corvette at Philips Highway and Reba Avenue on the Southside around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Jacksonville police say witnesses saw the man staggering while walking in the area earlier in the afternoon.
He was taken to UF Health with life-threatening injuries.

The driver that hit the man stayed on the scene and police say he is cooperative.
Police closed all southbound lanes of Philips Highway at Reba Street.
