LAS VEGAS — A man, who was in Las Vegas for a conference,

that he hopes will inspire more people to be kind to the homeless.

He said most of his friends had already left after the conference when he won a free buffet for two at the Excalibur casino.

Rather than eat alone, he invited a homeless man named Todd.

Todd has been homeless in Las Vegas for more than 30 years. The Reddit user said Todd had a lot of stories to tell.

Todd said he was hit by a car and left in coma 3 years ago.  He said he was having a hard time getting disability checks, because he has no state ID or address.

They ate their fill together, with Todd enjoying roast beef, fried shrimp and -- his favorite -- mashed potatoes and real butter.
