Nassau County Sheriff’s Office conducts a drug bust in Fernandina Beach

Nassau County, FL. — John Griner, 41, has been arrested and is now being charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Nassau County Special Response Team and Narcotics task force executed a search warrant at 1415 South 15th Street in Fernandina Beach on Friday Jan. 15.

When officers approached the home of John Griner he complied with them.

Griner is a convicted felon, released from prison last year, and is not allowed to possess any firearms.

They searched him and found a Glock 21 gun on his waistband, which they later learned was stolen from another Nassau County resident.

After they conducted a search of his home they found:

  • 129 .45 Caliber bullets
  • 8.8 grams of Meth
  • 2.8 grams of marijuana
  • 1.5 grams of marijuana mixed with meth
  • Digital scale with residue
  • Multiple small baggies consistent with drug sales.
  • And a Pipe with residue
