MADISON, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the missing boy from Madison was found safe in Jacksonville Monday morning.
Law enforcement issued a Florida Florida Amber Alert Sunday for a 7-year-old boy, who was last seen in Florida's panhandle. The alert was canceled at about 8:30 a.m. Monday after he was found.
Bryan Williamson was reported missing after he was last seen in the 200 block of Northeast Gibson Trailer Parkway in Madison, which is west of Lake City and east of Tallahassee. Witnesses said the boy was playing outside when he was abducted by a man driving a black four-door sedan, law enforcement said.
The woman who answered the door didn't see a car in the area, JSO said. Law enforcement is continuing to search for the suspect and the vehicle.
JSO said officers responded to a call at around 6:30 a.m. of a child who knocked on a door in Marietta asking to be taken to his mother.
JSO said it doesn't appear that the boy was injured and the family has been contacted.
The boy will be reunited with family, police said.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Madison Police Department and the FBI assisted in the investigation.
Anyone who has any information about the case is asked to call police.
