Report: Toys "R" Us planning to close 200 more stores

Toys "R" Us is planning to close 200 more stores, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Last month, the retailer announced plans to close 180 stores nationwide, including the Babies "R" Us in Orange Park.

The company has been operating under Bankruptcy protection since it filed for Chapter 11 last fall. The company was reportedly $5 billion in debt.

A total of 11 Florida stores started shutting their doors this month.

Consumer Advisor Clark Howard says customers should make returns and use gift cards as soon as possible, because of this uncertainty surrounding the company's finances.

Action News Jax has reached out to the company to find out if any more local stores are impacted by the new report.
