Search for Hannah Brim continues in Alachua County

Officials believe they have found the remains of 23-year-old Hannah Brim. 

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — Alachua County deputies are back out to search for the body of Hannah Brim.

Brim was last seen Jan. 19. Police believe she is dead because of forensic evidence. Police suspect she may have been pregnant.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office and the Gainesville Police Department are being assisted by members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and seven other agencies from around the state. 
 
In addition, cadaver dogs from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Brevard County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Corrections are being utilized in this operation.

Nelson Armas, 28, is a person of interest in the case. Armas has a history of domestic battery, according to GPD. He was the Alachua County Jail on a domestic battery charge unrelated to the disappearance of Brim, GPD said.
 
Approximately 125 law enforcement personnel are part of today's operation.  The search grid spans approximately five square miles and is concentrated in the Orange Heights area of Alachua County.
