None — JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sushi Express inside the Orange Park Mall off Wells Road turned up the most inspection report violations this week.
We found 28 violations including eight high-priority issues.
The critical violations include:
-A warning for an employee who didn’t wash their hands before putting on gloves to work with food.
-Broccoli and cabbage being stored in non-food grade containers.
-Sushi stored at temperatures between 70 and 72 degrees. It should have been held at 41 degrees.
Action News contacted the owner of Sushi Express in the Orange Park Mall. He says changes have already been made since that inspection, including replacing the manager. He says the restaurant is working to correct all of the problems.
Also on the list of restaurants with high-priority violations in our area:
Bubba’s Seafood and Steaks on Lane Avenue in Jacksonville had eight critical violations including a warning for an employee who washed their hands without soap.
Corner Bistro & Wine Bar on Tapestry Park Circle in Jacksonville had seven high priority violations including small flying insects in the bar area.
