St. Johns County Fire and Rescue saves 6-month-old puppy from cinder block

The St. Johns Fire and Rescue came to the rescue when FiFi got his head stuck in a cinder block.

A resident in Hastings returned from work Saturday to find her pup in an interesting situation.

The six-month-old puppy wedged her head inside the hole of a cinder block. The owner tried freeing the pup herself but was unable to do so.

SJFR arrived on the scene and used the "Jaws of Life" to crack open the block and free the dog.

She called the St. Johns County communication center for help. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office arrived and tried freeing the puppy's head with soap and water, but remained stuck.
