LAKE CITY, Fla. — Three family members are facing child neglect charges after two young children were found wandering in the streets all by themselves.
A homeowner found the children, ages 2 and 1, walking near the intersection of Pilots Way and Mayfair Lane around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
The man took the kids to his house and talked to neighbors to help find their parents before calling 911.
Investigators with the Department of Children & Families learned the toddlers left the home while four adults inside the home were sleeping.

Deputies went door to door. Two hours later, volunteers found the children's home on Pilots Way, about 300 yards from where they were found.
Authorities arrested the children's mother, 21-year-old RIkki Allagood, the father, 19-year-old John Newhart, and their grandmother, 38-year-old Victoria Swezey.
Allgood and Swezey face additional charges for giving false statements to investigators.
The three are being held at the Columbia County Detention Facility without bond.
