One person is dead and another hurt after a crash in Mandarin.
Rescue crews were called to the corner of San Jose Boulevard and Loretto Road shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a Ford van collided with a Chevy Cavalier that was trying to make a left turn onto San Jose Boulevard.
JSO said the woman driving the Cavalier was in her 60′s.
Investigators said didn’t yield to oncoming traffic, and died at the scene.
The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital.
This is the 64th traffic fatality in Duval County this year.
