NEW YORK — Republican presidential candidate and presumptive nominee Donald Trump wanted to wish everyone a "Happy Cinco de Mayo."
Trump, well-known for tweeting his every response to anything, shared his sentiments on Twitter.
For Cinco de Mayo, taco bowls are a special at Trump Cafe.
But in the age of the Internet, it looks like Trump or his camp should have taken better care to verify the content of his tweet.
BuzzFeed News reported that, after a string of tweets getting clarification on the menu for Trump Grill and Trump Cafe, another Trump-owned restaurant, taco bowls were not on the menu at Trump Grill, where Trump said they were made.
Then, after BuzzFeed pointed out inaccuracies in Trump's tweet, a woman named Andrea Muzino stridently took Trump to task .
Muzino tore apart the accompanying Facebook post Trump shared for Cinco de Mayo and she did it piece by piece, according to multiple screenshots and a retweet BuzzFeed's photo of her comment:
Too bad a taco bowl isn't Mexican, the Trump Tower Grill isn't either, you're not eating taco bowls from New York because you're in (West Virginia) today, Cinco De Mayo isn't a Hispanic holiday. It's a Mexican one and you are the same color as the taco bowl shell. But I digress.
BuzzFeed News pointed out that although Trump does have an event in West Virginia Thursday, it is not clear if he was in New York earlier in the day or if the picture was taken at a different time to be sent out May 5.
But perhaps Muzino was right because, according to her tweet, Trump removed her comment from his Facebook picture:
