LOS ANGELES — The cause of death for rapper, humanitarian and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle has been revealed, according to TMZ.

Despite speculation that Hussle privately married his longtime girlfriend, actress Lauren London, he is listed as having never been married at the time of his death on the certificate.

shows Hussle, whose birth name was Ermias Asghedom, died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso. He was pronounced dead 35 minutes after he was shot March 31 outside of his The Marathon Clothing store in south Los Angeles.
London and Hussle met in 2013 and started dating soon after. They had one child together, 2-year-old Kross Asghedom. Hussle also has a daughter named Emani from a previous relationship.
A homegoing service for Hussle will be Thursday at the Staples Center.
