NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Police arrested a Florida woman accused of throwing pizza at a restaurant employee.

WTSP reported Syeda Saleem, 28, walked into Olivia's Subs & Pizza in New Port Richey, Florida, demanding a refund Friday afternoon.

According to WFTS, officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Saleem claimed the pizza made her son sick. An employee offered Saleem a new pizza for free, but she insisted on getting six sodas instead.

An argument ensued and when it escalated, Saleem threw the pizza at the employee, WTSP reported.

"Syeda stated when she attempted to return the pizza, Fatos began to yell racial slurs at her and told her to go back to her country," according to an arrest affidavit. "Syeda stated she then shoved the pizza through the window and the pizza hit him because he was standing in her way."

When police arrived at the restaurant, they saw the worker's chest and head covered in tomato sauce, WTVT reported.

Saleem was charged with battery.
