Looking to improve your outlook on life? If so, consider moving to one of America's happiest states. And if you already live in one, you have a good reason to rejoice.
A report released Monday by WalletHub analyzed the 50 states and the District of Columbia, ranking each on a scale of 100 with consideration of physical and emotional health, income levels and job satisfaction, sports participation rates and more than a dozen other factors.
The state that claimed the No. 1 spot?
Utah.
The unhappiest state?
West Virginia.
The report also pointed out the states with the highest and lowest depression rates in the country (Oregon; Hawaii), obesity rates (Mississippi; District of Columbia), suicide rates (Montana; District of Columbia), number of work hours (Alaska; Utah) and income growth (West Virginia; Nevada).
