BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. — Waffles and Hemingway will continue to live together in harmony.

The miniature horse and his goose soul mate have finally found a new home, WFMZ reported.

The odd couple were rescued by the Bucks County SPCA in July and made headlines all around the world because of their bond forged in what were described by shelter officials as deplorable conditions, WTXF reported.

"Everything they've gone through, they've gone through together," Rachael Freeman told WTXF. "So for us to bring them in here and separate them would have been pretty detrimental."

They had shared a barn stall at their original home, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Waffles and Hemingway were picked up Wednesday by their new owner, who wished to not be identified, the newspaper reported.
