NEW YORK — An anonymous complaint about social distancing violations prompted police to turn out the lights on a wedding held indoors in defiance of a state order.
Authorities found 284 wedding guests, seating, food and a live band at a hall in Queens, WNBC reported.
While the state has reopened, some coronavirus social distancing and mask regulations are still in place.
The owner of the hall was given a citation for two offenses. The hall’s manager was cited for four misdemeanors.
The state is considering another shutdown amid clusters of cases in Brooklyn and Queens.
