According to The New York Times, Weinstein will not have to publicly admit any wrongdoing.
Weinstein had been scheduled to stand trial in New York City beginning Jan. 6 on rape and sexual assault charges.
Weinstein has pleaded not guilty to charges he raped a woman in a Manhattan hotel room in 2013 and performed a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006. He had been free on $1 million bail and maintains that any sexual activity was consensual.
The agreement was reported only hours after Weinstein appeared in court, in which his bail was increased to $5 million over allegations he mishandled his electronic ankle monitor.
