Biden won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes to surpass the necessary 270 threshold to take the White House.

Biden will be the oldest president. The victory also makes Kamala Harris the first Black woman elected vice president. Harris is also the first person of South Asian descent elected to the position.

Biden earned victories in Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan, flipping states that President Donald Trump won in 2016.

The win comes after three days of counting votes as elections officials sorted through an unprecedented number of ballots.

They will be sworn in as president and vice president Jan. 20.
