Louisiana mom arrested after toddler found dead in car at mobile home park

LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. — A Louisiana mother is behind bars after a toddler was discovered dead in a vehicle at a Lafayette Parish mobile home park.

According to KLFY and KATC, Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested Natalie Broussard, 27, on a negligent homicide charge Monday in connection with her 2-year-old child’s death.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday in a community off Cameron Street, the news outlets reported. Deputies responding to a report of a dead toddler in a car arrived to find the child’s body.
