LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II has restricted her activities during the Platinum Jubilee honoring her 70 years on the British throne, but the longtime monarch still had time to film a fun-loving, humorous video.

In a prerecorded skit that aired for attendees at a concert in London’s Buckingham Palace, the queen hosted another British icon for tea: Paddington Bear, the beloved animated children’s character, the BBC reported.

Paddington drinks straight from the teapot and leaves only a few drops for Elizabeth, who deadpans, “Never mind.”

In the video, Paddington, who is voiced by Ben Whishaw, thanks the monarch for inviting him to the palace, and the Queen asks, “Tea?”

“Perhaps you would like a marmalade sandwich,” Paddington says, pulling one out of his hat. “I always keep one for emergencies.”

The Queen reaches into her handbag -- an accessory she is rarely seen without -- and pulls out her own marmalade sandwich.

“So do I. I keep mine in here,” the queen says. “For later.”

The video was reminiscent of a clip the queen did in 2012, when she appeared with Daniel Craig’s James Bond character in a prerecorded video that marked the opening of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, The Guardian reported.
