UNF sets up an emergency student relief fund to help students

The University of North Florida has set up a website so people can donate to the emergency student relief fund to help students during this pandemic students.

If you would like to donate, visit their website https://give.unf.edu/relief_studentemergency.

Here is a letter from the UNF President:

"A few weeks ago, I asked our Osprey family to show support for UNF students by making a gift to the UNF Student Emergency Relief Fund. Thanks to those who made a generous contribution, we have begun the important process of providing aid to those UNF students most in need. Your kindness has made a real difference in so many lives!

"Yet our mission to support UNF students hasn’t ended, especially as financial hardships and unfortunate circumstances continue for so many. Each day, we hear another story that reminds us how important that support is, from single parents facing unemployment and a never-ending need to put food on the table, to students unable to afford rent with nowhere else to go. This week, I decided to reduce my salary, as well as the budget for my office, and direct those funds to support new student scholarships and assistance. The need our Osprey student community now faces is daunting, and Ally Schneider, President of UNF Student Government, addresses this in a compelling video you can watch by clicking the link below.

"As President of the University of North Florida, I have committed myself to the success of our students both on and off-campus. That’s why I’m asking again today for your support to the UNF Student Emergency Relief Fund. Your gift can help UNF provide the resources our students need to weather this crisis and continue their world-class education.

“I’ve said before that in times of need our Osprey community comes together like no other. Your response has only made me more convinced. I am certain we can count on your support. Go Ospreys!”
