First Alert Weather: Moderate rain continues to move across Jacksonville area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A stream of moderate rain continues to move across the viewing area. Rain will be with us through at least part of the morning commute, as model scenarios indicate the rain ending sometime after 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Some sunshine makes an appearance midday before a few more showers and storms swing in from the west Monday evening in northeast Florida.

These will pose a severe risk with hail being the main concern. Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking these today at 5 p.m. on Action News Jax on CBS47 & FOX30.

A few showers linger Tuesday morning before this storm system leaves before Christmas Day. Temperatures are in the upper 60s and low 70s through next weekend.
