First Alert Weather: Tracking frost, freezes and a warming trend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Temperatures are 30 to 40 degrees colder this morning compared to Sunday afternoon! The “feels like” temperatures are in the 20s and 30s to start the day. We’ll see the sun today, but afternoon highs will only crack the 50s.

A Freeze Watch is in effect Monday night/Tuesday morning for northeast Florida west of I-95 and all of southeast Georgia. Neighborhoods in Jacksonville west of I-95 will freeze Tuesday morning, but the beaches do not freeze.

First Alert Meteorologist Corey Simma is tracking patchy frost inland Tuesday morning, and cold “feels like” temperatures will be an issue again.

There will be widespread freezes Wednesday morning with a hard freeze inland southeast Georgia. Mornings warm up starting Thursday, then we’re in the 70s Friday afternoon with some showers.
