Many people are anxiously awaiting the first solar eclipse in the lower 48 states in nearly 40 years.
The Aug. 21 eclipse will peak at around 3 p.m., with about 90 percent of the sun obscured.
Totality will occur from South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming and Oregon.
While not a total solar eclipse as seen from Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, the view will still be potentially spectacular.
