Tropical depression #19 forms over Central Atlantic......

The "Buresh Bottom Line": Always be prepared!..... City of Jacksonville Preparedness Guide... Georgia Hurricane Guide.

Showers & t'storms have developed over the Southeastern Bahamas extending east to Puerto Rico & the Northern Lesser Antilles.  No surface development is expected as shear is strong.

Tropical depression #19 has strengthened into tropical storm "Rina" over the Central Atlantic.  Virtually all the convection is to the north & east of the center due to shear out of the west. The storm will merge with a cold front & be absorbed by an upper level trough later this week over the far N. Atlantic.  No land areas are threatened by Rina & only modest strengthening is likely due increasingly cool ocean temps. + continued - & increasing - shear.

Interesting map below tweeted by Erik Pindrock shows virtually all of Fl. has experienced at least tropical storm force winds this year... as well as the entire Gulf Coast... & as far north as N. Carolina on the east coast:

Deep oceanic heat content is still evident over the Caribbean but is beginning to "bow its head" to late fall.....
