JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A screen porch reportedly blew away from an Atlantic Beach home Tuesday night.
The family said they heard a loud noise and noticed the porch was gone. It happened between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m.
A tropical storm formed over Northeast Florida late Tuesday and brought heavy rain and wind to Jacksonville and surrounding counties.
The home is located not too far away from a gas station that reported damage to its awning Tuesday night.
Police searched the area near the home, which is in the 900 block of Amberjack Lane, for a portion of the porch that hasn't been found.
