3 people rescued by Jacksonville firefighters after early morning fire

QUICK FACTS:

  • Firefighters put out a fire at a home in the 9500 block of Spottswood Road
  • Three people were pulled from fire just after 5 a.m. Tuesday and taken to the hospital
  • The State Fire Marshall was called out to the scene
  • Officials do not believe the fire is suspicious

According to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, a mother, father and their adult son were taken to a nearby hospital after they were pulled from a burning home Tuesday morning.

They have non life-threatening injuries. Crews say the fire started near the front porch area and spread into the attic. The home suffered moderate damage.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
