Pedestrian killed in Blanding Boulevard crash, troopers say

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A 77-year-old Middleburg man is dead after being hit by a truck Tuesday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol. It was caught on video from a nearby surveillance camera.

Troopers said the driver of a Chevy Silverado stopped at the red light at the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Palmetto Street, began turning onto Blanding, and hit the man attempting to cross the road in the cross walk.

The driver was not hurt. Charges are pending, according to a FHP report.
