Action News Jax spoke with a man inside who said he and his family were watching television in the living room, just moments before the impact.
“My wife and my sister were scared, so they were crying and screaming and whatever the case may be,” the man said. “So I got up and walked out the door, and that’s when I noticed the car had come to a stop in front of the street after it crashed.”
He said neighbors witnessed the car speeding, before it crashed into the front of the family’s home.
“They didn’t think the car would be able to make the curve, and of course it didn’t,” the man said.

The family inside did not suffer injuries.
“I wish that the city or police would spend a little more time around here policing this traffic or installing speed bumps in the area,” the man said.
One neighbor agreed, saying that speeding on Commonwealth Avenue and in the area happens “all the time.”
